Chelsea have joined the race for Fenerbahçe striker Emanuel Emenike according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.
Turkish football has reported that the Blues had been closely linked with Emenike last summer and have been keeping tabs on the Nigerian international this season.
“I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League,” Emenike said.
“If I get the opportunity to play in England I wouldn’t turn it down.”
Despite wanting a Premier League move Emenike recently revealed that he is happy at Fenerbahçe.
“When I joined Fenerbahçe my goal was to win the league and that became a reality,” Emenike said in an interview with AMK.
“I want to stay at the club and win more, lift more trophies and build upon our success.”
Tottenham, Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg have also been scouting Emenike.
Emenike has been in impressive form for Nigeria in the World Cup and and has 10 goals in 21 internationals.
The 27-year-old rejoined Fenerbahçe last summer from Spartak Moscow for €13 million and scored 12 goals in addition to 9 assists this season.
Nigeria face Argentina next in the final World Cup Group F game. A draw would guarantee the Super Eagles qualification into the Last 16.
