It has been reported by Daily Express in London that Chelsea are ready to sell Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel, to fund a move for Sami Khedira.
Mikel who was extremely woeful with Nigeria at the World cup has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006, after signing from Lyn despite initially agreeing to join Manchester United. But the midfielder’s spell in London could be over, with Mourinho ready to make space for a World Cup winner.
Khedira has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Portuguese manager is ready to work again with Khedira, whom he left last summer at Real Madrid to rejoin Chelsea. The German is keen on leaving the Bernabeu, and could be available for £20m. Mourinho has already bolstered his midfield this summer with the addition of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
Mikel could leave for £10m with reports that Inter Milan are ready to bring the Nigerian to Serie A.
