The headquarters of the Nigeria Football federation [NFF] in the Wuse Zone 7 District of Abuja has been gutted by fire reports.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but the Federation’s spokesperson, Ademola Olajire, confirmed the incident.
Mr. Olajire, who said he was just arriving the scene, said the fire began on the third floor of the building.
Premium Times’s reporter at the scene said the offices of the President, Secretary General and the accounts department might have been affected.
Fire service officials have arrived the scene and are battling to put out the fire.
The NFF is currently enmeshed in a leadership tussle with Aminu Maigari and Mike Umeh laying claim to the chairmanship of the football body.
hmmmmmmmmmmm! long sigh pregnant with meaning.
I say no more!
I know the feeling debablo….I do. It can’t keep on happening though. It must stop. Why does it always have to be the account’s department?
Yes O!…everyone then carries on business as usual and wonder why things do not work or the international community/organisations rate us on their famous or infamous lists.
No creativity whatsover in mode of operation (fire in accounts dept), an organisation that is seriously suspect with individuals with interesting antecedents.Won pe e ni ole otun gbe omo eran jo (Yoruba saing)….literal translation “you are a suspected thief and you go about dancing around with a kid goat” Lol
