Minister of health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Friday said two more Nigerians have been discovered to have contracted Ebola.
Onyebuchi made the disclosure at a media briefing in Abuja.
Earlier on Wednesday, Lagos state commissioner for health, Mr. Jide Idris, announced that five new Ebola cases had been discovered. But Chukwu would later issue a statement to deny the claim, saying reports of five new cases “should be disregarded” as he alone had the authority to announce confirmed cases of disease epidemics.
It is unclear if the two cases Chukwu spoke about on Friday are part of the five Idris mentioned on Wednesday.
