MEET AMEYO ADADEVOH’S ONLY SON, BANKOLE CARDOSO
The death of popular Lagos doctor, Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, no doubt, struck a pain in the hearts of Nigerians. Adadevoh died on on Tuesday evening at the Isolation Unit of the Mainland Hospital in Lagos, after being infected with the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) from Patrick Sawyer, the harbinger of the deadly virus to Nigeria. Not only did Adadevoh lead the medical team at First Consultant Hospital that treated Sawyer, she also saved thousands of people from contracting the deadly virus.
Adadevoh, 58, was a very selfless and kind-hearted lady, who had a passion for treating many less privileged people, for free. She was a woman of unfailing charm, endowed with a deep sense of responsibility and sharp wit.
Ameyo Adadevoh was married to Afolabi Cardoso, a successful Chemical Engineer and respected corporate veteran with noble background. He is from the famous Cardoso of Lagos Island and the brother of Yemi Cardoso, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Budget and Planning during Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s administration. The marriage between Ameyo and Afolabi Cardoso produced a son, Bankole Cardoso according to reports in the Elites (pictured below).
Bankole, who celebrated his 26th birthday few days before his mother’s death, is a co-founder and CEO of Easy Taxi. He studied at Rugby School, United Kingdom, and has a degree in Business Management and Accounting from the Boston College. Bankole is also a certified Public Accountant, licensed in New York. Early this year, he was listed in Forbes’ 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs and featured in CNN Startup.
Bankole launched his career with Price Water House Coopers in New York and went on to join The Carlyle Group before he returned to Nigeria after a 12-year stay abroad and co-founded Easy Taxi.

AFOLABI E. CARDOSO – who holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University in England, also bagged an MBA degree in Finance from New York University, New York U.S.A. He has over 20 years of varied Banking experience spanning Credit, Corporate Finance and Treasury.
Prior to commencing his banking career, he worked for 1 year at ExxonMobil’s Coryton Refinery in Essex, England and for 2 years with Chevron Oil Company Nigeria Limited as a Petroleum Engineer.
An active instructor for bank credit training programs, while in service he worked in 3 different Merchant Banks, and attended the Bank Credit Training Program of the Bank of Boston, in Boston, Mass, USA. He left the banking industry recently as General Manager to run his own Consultancy, Cardtrust Ltd., where he is the Managing Director/CEO.
