The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its primaries aimed at picking candidates for the various elective positions in the 2015 general elections.

In the new dates released on Friday, 14th November, 2014, the primary to pick the party’s candidates for the various state Houses of Assembly takes place on Monday, 1st December, 2014, throughout the country.

In a statement last Saturday signed by the National Publicity Secretary for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, the party said in the reviewed dates that  the national convention earlier slated for December 6 has now beeen moved to December 10 and December 11, while the date for the President who is the sole candidate of the party to return his completed form to the national secretariat of the party is now November 15.

The eagerly anticipated governorship primary for APC now takes place on Thursday, 4th December, 2014 while the primaries to pick the party’s candidates for the two chambers of the National Assembly take place on Monday, 8th December and Tuesday, 9th December, 2014 throughout the federation.

For the PDP, the new date for the return of completed governorship forms is November 14 and the Screening and Appeals of the governorship aspirants is between November 22 to 25 and the governorship primary election is billed to hold on December 8 and appeal, if any is slated on December 9 2014.

The screening and appeal (if any) of President Jonathan as the sole candidate of the PDP party is now slated for November 26 2014, while the grand finale and the national convention to pick the APC party’s presidential candidate take place on Wednesday, 10th December, 2014.
