This is the day DEMOCRACY in Nigeria was teargassed. A day that could well turn out to be a blessing in disguise, I pray, when the HISTORY of democracy is recalled. A day, I pray once again, that will mark a turning point in the awareness of how politics is played out in Nigeria. A day democracy was embarrassed. A day when, the no 3 political figure head in the country, a top notch member of the ruling party, President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, Senator David Mark condemned the use of teargas on Senators and members of the House of Representatives by the Police and went on to describe the action as “barbaric.”. I have nothing else to add.
