WHY IS DON JAZZY KILLING KOREDE BELLO’S GIFT WITH ‘Cold Outside’?

WHY IS DON JAZZY WRECKING KOREDE BELLO'S GIFT WITH 'Cold Outside'?I am at pains in writing this piece but it has to be written for the sake of Afro-beats. Why is Don Jazzy, co-founder of Mo’Hits and now Mavins, a prolific producer of the likes of D’Banj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, Shank, Ikechuckwu, Tiwa savage, D’prince and many more set out to wreck emerging talent Korede Bello?

Agreed, Korede Bello was an unknown talent who was probably discovered on Youtube. Don Jazzy must have recognised him for the talent so obvious and signed him to his Mavins label.

I was expecting great music from this budding talent via Mavins, but do you know what, his latest music ‘Cold Outside’ is as unintelligent as a novice singer on the streets.

I would have expected Don Jazzy, who is now world acclaimed to be bold, and set the pace for other producers in Africa with new ways of exhibiting talents, rather, he has joined other beat makers in churning out silly music that has now become an embarrassment for export.

Check out Korede Bello in the videos below when he was raw and un-afraid to do his own thing. And compare him with his latest music produced by the great Don Jazzy. I am certain Korede is COLD OUTSIDE. Don jazzy as his mentor possibly had convinced him that for him to ‘blow’ he has to conform to the trash out there. It makes me sick in the stomach that Don Jazzy has taken this route with this young talent.

It’s not too late to take Korede via another direction, if not, set the poor guy loose to ‘blow’ in his own way. My comments do not make me less of a fan of Don Jazzy, but more of a critic of this type of music.
